If you're an experienced and ambitious Senior Design Engineer with a passion for solving technical challenges, this opportunity is for you. You’ll be joining a thriving design consultancy at an exciting stage of growth. As part of a multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers, you’ll lead the development of cutting-edge solutions for clients across medical devices, industrial equipment, and consumer products.

This is a hands-on position for someone who thrives on tackling complex design challenges and delivering exceptional solutions that make an impact.

 

Responsibilities

 

As a Senior Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Leading multiple projects from initial concept through to completion.
  • Designing innovative solutions with 3D CAD, such as SolidWorks, and developing detailed production drawings.
  • Applying design for manufacture and assembly principles, including injection moulding, castings, and machining.
  • Engaging in prototyping and testing to validate and optimise designs.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members to foster technical excellence.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.

 

Requirements

 

Are you the Senior Design Engineer we’re looking for? Here’s the toolkit you’ll need:

 

  • Degree in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Innovation or Industrial Design
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex projects.
  • A deep understanding of manufacturing processes, including injection moulding, sheet metal, and machining.
  • Ability to develop concepts into fully realised, manufacturable products.
  • Expertise in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and a proven ability to produce production-ready designs.
